This is the first installment of the monthly Dort Online Banking Newsletter. What do I hope to accomplish with these newsletters?

Account Nicknames

Did you know you can give any of your accounts a nickname in Dort Online Banking? For example, let's say you have a savings account set-up to save for your son or daughter's education. Instead of having to remember what number it is, you can simply change it's name to "College Fund". To give an account a nickname...

  1. Login to Dort Online Banking
  2. Click on the 'User Options' button
  3. Click on the 'Change Account Nicknames' link
  4. Change the account name and click on the 'Change' button

Pay anyone with Bill Payer

Bill Payer isn't just for paying your bills. You can also use it to send checks to individuals. To send a check to a friend or family member...

  1. Login to Dort Online Banking and go to Bill Payer
  2. Click on the 'Payees' button
  3. Click on the 'Add Payee' button
  4. Click on the 'Add Payee Manually' button
  5. Complete the form using the individual's name, address, and phone number (and you can simply make up an account number for them)
  6. Click on 'Add Payee'

Now, you can send that friend or family member a check just like you send one to Consumers Energy.
